Karen Kiest, Landscape Architects, a Seattle-based firm, served as the landscape designer for the PEAK Building. Debin Schliesman of Weinstein A/U served as a lead designer on the $15-million youth center. The City of Mercer Island listened to both sides, held many design hearings, but ultimately disagreed with neighbors and allowed construction to begin.
